Charging overnight. Yes, the orange light is on, but then changes to blue. I'm assuming thw blue light tells me its fully charged.

CMOS battery does a lot of things besides the date and time. Pulling or shorting the battery clears it back to the default. Have you tried to reach Repair (hold down alt-F10 then press power).
