I don't know if any of you are still monitoring this page, but if you're reading this,
I'm very disappointed to learn Acer has discontinued the Aspire R13 with Ezel hinge, confirmed by Acer's facebook contact person on Jan 11, 2017. This brilliantly-designed product is now a dinosaur.
I will be drafting a letter to Acer's management to tell them why I think this is so unfortunate, unnecessary, and unjustified -- the R13 did not fail becuase people didn't embrace its design, but rather because most people never knew it existed, and those who did know it existed experienced or read the warnings about its faulty keyboard/trackpad issues.
I truly believe the R13 was the most useful convertible 2-in-1 ultrabook available, and if you don't want to see it disappear forever, as I know many of you agreed.
Let's show Acer that they need to re-introduce the R13 with properly functioning keyboard, trackpad, etc. and do a much better job marketing it the next time. I want my next 2-in-1 to be another R13; this is our opportunity to try to save the best-designed ultrabook ever.
