Re: ACER Aspire R14

First I would see if you can bring it up with and external monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

 

If so I would create a recovery drive (16GB FAT32 flash) and system image (external NTFS drive). Also save the Windows license key from the BIOS (third party ssoftware)

 

Then I would go to the Acer Recertified Store, and find the least featured i5 or i7 R14 available.

 

Next save all of the information from it (if Win 10 can use the same recovery flash but need new system image and license key capture.

 

Finally swap in your SSD and ram expansion if needed and there you are (may need to contact M$ about the license activation - why need to save keys)
