So far I didn't get it done, and I'm now convinced I tried everything we listed above without success.
I have two options though:
- I successfully installed vmware workstation 12 on my Windows and I can lauch ubuntu on a virtual machine. It's not as good as dual-boot but enough for me for the moment.
- A friend told me about Network Booting (booting via ethernet), I will try it in two days.
