Re: Aspire S7-392 Power-Off/Sleep Problem

Same Issue as everyone before me, its been bothering me for years, and it has gotten unbelievably worse ever since I received my laptop back from Acer Repair for a faulty SSD.

Since I’m now out of warranty and the issues have gotten to the point where if my computer goes to sleep, its impossible to wake it without a power cycle. I decided to open it up my self and check out the insides to find most of the screws very loose.

I cleaned up a bit of dust and tightened all of the screws back into their place, and shockingly, I have yet to experience the sleep problem that has been taunting me for a very long time now.

This problem might after all be related to a mechanical issue, potentially where the hinges connect the screen and base or wherever the lid switch is, and not a driver issue.

Can someone, without warranty, who is struggling with the same issue, check to see if the screws inside the laptop are loose, and if so, to attempt to tighten them and report back if it worked or not?
