Same thing happened to me, haven't even had it 24hrs!
Acer support told me to unplug the charger, flip the laptop over and push a paper clip into the little hole with the battery symbol next to it for 30secs. Then plug the charger in and power up and wait for 20 mins before using the machine.
This worked for me (so far!) - currently waiting the 20 mins but powered up as per usual - hope it works cba getting something else!
