It is pretty annoying that Acer fails to accept any kind of responsibility or even admit that the design of the screen was flawed from the beginning. I kept insisting that either the design was defective or that the computer screen was just poor quality since their own tech support told me that it's a "common problem." They dropped the price to have it repaired to $150 for me but I had a local shop that fixed it for $100 and I had it done in 48 hours Acer said it would take 3 weeks. 

 

My solution to the problem is, unfortunately, stop buying Acer products. If they are willing to sell you a computer that experiences problems and not willing to help you they clearly don't care about their customers not even enough to take some kind of responsibility for putting out a bad/faulty product.
