Saw your post on my fix the KB video.
It is sad.
In general this is a market issue. And they screwed the reputation of the machine with the bad KB. Which is why I could afford mine. They also took a great design for business and failed to do things like include a TPM chip.
And lots reviews that didn't understand the hinge is metal and kept calling it all plastic. IT is glass, metal and plastic.
In the end if they are not willing to market it over detachables and ultrathins it won't sell because people tend to avoice that they don't understand. That is too bad.
I woud have done a video of a two people siting on a plane one tries to work on normal laptop and is bending down to see the screen because the seat infront is reclined and a well dressed business woman opens here and begines to type. Then she moves it forward makes some pen notes and starts a movie. BOOM 15 seconds and anyone watching is going "I want that!"
If I were going to put pressure on them I would set up a public petition and promote it in the Open Source community.
If they plan to step selling the design and think it can't make money. Release the patent and see if someoen else proves them wrong vs rat-holing innovation. If you mean it, provie let anyone use your design.
