Forgot to say, making the raid volume is not complicated at all, you just have to follow the steps. Loosing the factory image, I hate to say was on you for going all in without testing. Before I did any testing, when I helped come up with the procedure, I took an image and verified I could restore to a blank drive and everything was there. Maybe it's because I work in it, but you don't just format a HD without making sure your backup is good and can be restored
