Thanks, sounds like a good alternative! But the technicians I spoke to said they couldn't open the display unit because there are no screws, it's glued shut. Do you think a non-authorized technician would be able to do it?

Looking at the breakdown of the display, I'm not sure I believe that seller about those hinges.
The Acer part numbers for the hinges are
Left Hinge 47.4WD07.001
Right Hinge 47.4WD08.001
It looks like you would have to pull off the back frame (7) because the front (10) is the LCD module.
This looks like it wouldn't be worth it.
The parts manual doesn't list the rubber feet separately so, they probably come on the case from Acer's supplier.
If you can't find the OEM part, Ebay has a lot of other feet and generic feet you might be able to adapt.
As well as Amazon

Thanks a lot for your advice. Yesterday in the late evening i found an other solution:
I installed the newest BIOS and Thunderbolt-Firmware Acer listed on the Website (till that point i thought the acer care center pre installed would notify me if there any updates, but it didn't).
After updates these two i can now plug and unplug the dock while windows is running without any problem or bluescreen. One Problem remains: If the system is in stanyby oder suspend to ram while unpluging the dock, it does not wake up (black screen, running fans). But i can deal with it.
I have the same problem on my Aspire S7-392, after searching various threads tried the following:
battery reset for 4 sec
battery reset with power button for 10 sec
Still does not power on, the LEDs are also not on even with power adapter.
Any suggestions?
I have Aspire S7-392 for almost three years. I charged the laptop for few hours and then switched off the power. After few hours tried to turn it on and the laptop won't start. I put the AC adapter to charge again but see that LEDs do not turn on with AC adapter. Checked the adapter and it seems to be giving correct power output. After searching other threads tried the following:
battery reset for 4 sec
Tightening all of the screws on the back
battery reset with power button for 10 sec
None of these seem to work. Any suggestions? Will replacing battery help in this situation?
I had to have the motherboard replaced ($350)... Hope your fix is less expensive.
i don't think a battery replace would fix it, since both LEDs don't turn ON.
The only thing i would try is to disconnect the battery and connect the AC adapter and check if at least one LED turns ON.
You informed you disable the driver, we suggest you reinstall the driver to see if the issue can be fixed.

No, local repair shop, Acer wouldn't take it since their warranty was expired.
1) Dead AC adapter or low amperage but you already tested
2) hardware issue on motherboard
Recently my laptop has been restarting again and again due to the BSOD mentioned above. Can someone help me solve this issue?
Yes data preserved. But you don't need to fix the motherboard to get your data, just have a technician take out the hard drive. Any decent shop could get the data onto an external hard drive for you, maybe $50 plus the cost of the external.
I have an Aspire Switch 12 which only has a 32Gb SSD. That was fine when it was running Windows 8 but I upgraded to Windows 10 and it now has no space left. I've done everything I can think of to free up space but it's not enough.
So, my question is - is it possible to upgrade the 32Gb SSD to a larger SSD? If so, how?
I realise doing so will almost certainly invalidate the warranty but if that's it takes then I'll take the chance.
Thanks.
